About this workshop
The forty-day tradition is gone. Family is far. Most days you don't see another adult until your partner comes home. Come sit with other mothers who get it.
A facilitated weekly group for mothers in the first year postpartum. Babies welcome (and expected). Combines facilitated reflection, peer support, and brief psychoeducation on perinatal mood, identity, and matrescence.
This is for you if: you are within 12 months of giving birth (or experiencing perinatal loss — a separate cohort runs for that population); you want company in the early-motherhood experience; you're willing to bring whatever is real (joy, ambivalence, exhaustion, grief).
Format: Weekly 90-minute sessions. In person at Ambleside (stroller-accessible). Babies welcome. Online cohorts also available.
Languages: English; separate Farsi cohort.
Facilitator: RCC counsellor on team with perinatal mental health training.
