Therapy for Therapists & Clinical Supervision
Personal therapy and clinical supervision for RCC counsellors, therapists, and trainees in BC. Depth-oriented. English & Farsi. Online & in person.

The single most important variable in any therapy is the inner condition of the therapist. The slow, ongoing work of staying in shape — psychologically, ethically, somatically — is not optional in this profession. It is the work itself.
Baraka Ontology & Clinical Counselling offers two related services for fellow practitioners:
- Personal therapy for clinicians — confidential, depth-oriented therapy for the inner work
that this profession requires
- Clinical supervision and consultation — for RCCs (Registered Clinical Counsellors),
CCCs, MFTs, social workers, psychotherapists in training, and counselling students seeking either ongoing supervision or focused consultation
Both are available at our Ambleside office in West Vancouver and online across British Columbia, in English and Farsi.
Personal therapy for clinicians
Working as a clinician means absorbing other people's pain for a living. Without ongoing personal work, this catches up — sometimes slowly, sometimes acutely. The literature on therapist burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue is now substantial; the cultural taboo against therapists actually being in their own therapy is, fortunately, eroding.
We see practitioner-clients dealing with:
- Vicarious trauma and case-related distress
- Burnout, including the particular burnout of working in under-resourced systems
